The lifts of Briançon, Chantemerle, Villeneuve and Monetier allow you to access to altitude sites, which are renown for their freeride downhill. You can also have access to the fabulous verticals of the Lautaret, Galibier and Granon.
At a 15 minutes drive from Serre Chevalier, the Montgenevre bike park is welcoming the Buissonière school’s clients for unbelievable runs (single runs, jumps, etc.). Montgenevre is located at the Italian border and is the site of many biking events such as the Mountain Biking French Cup. Montgenevre has now a brand new bike park.
You will be going up the Galibier in a minibus situated at 2645 m. Once at the top, you will then be going down by the old road (dirt track) that goes through meadows and you will enjoy the fantastic views on “La Meije” glacier and the “Ecrins”. The track then becomes a single in the oak forest. You will go through old mountain villages. All together, 30 kms of downhill.
You will be going up to the Granon in a minibus situated at 2518 m. Once at the top you will be going down on mountain and forest tracks. In this itinerary, there are a few technical passages such as sharp bends and stony tracks, but none the less very entertaining and pleasant.
